These poems in no way express my exact views on the world, but they do reflect me, as a person. They are the summation of all my experiences in my years on this earth, which are not much.
I will warn you now that I do not have any sort of topic that is off limits, and so at times will express observations, or sarcastic thoughts on things like religion, murder, alternative lifestyles, and other topics that some may find offensive.
PLEASE DO NOT BE OFFENDED.
The majority of what I say here is meant to be humorous. Funny. Little "haha" moments to put a smile on your face, dear reader, at the start of your day.
Some of my poems are meant to draw attention to flawed things, some are meant to inspire thought on the nature of the world and humanity. Some of them will make you look inwards at your own actions, to your own thoughts and memories. Some are utterly empty drivel, compiled when I string a bunch of pretty sounds together. But always, always, with a grain of humor.
I apologize now if any person reading these poems is in any way shape or form offended by the content therein. But I'm not going to apologize for my thoughts or my inspiration or my personality.
In the immortal words of Bring It On "Hate me 'cuz I'm beautiful/Well, I don't like you either."
I might be misquoting that.
Also, I'm not particularly beautiful.
Have a lovely day, and remember: The world is an ugly place, but living on the moon as yet is technologically unfeasible. Make the best of it.
Cheers, all.
B. Wells
That quote at the end, did you make that up? I love it!
ReplyDeleteYes? But I'm pretty sure I'm not the first person to say something like that.
